Hi hi! I'm misha; I am a somatic tutor, and the queer, neuroexpansive¹ Black Filipina descendant of of Bicolano farmers, interfamily adoptees, and sex workers, and of teachers, dancers, and survivors from both lineages.
I grew up on the unceded lands of the Kumeyaay and Tongva peoples, in so-called San Diego and Los Angeles.
I recently moved to the Netherlands.

How I Show Up
- You are the expert on you. The main goal is and will always be developing and strengthening trust in yourself.
- I am not here to fix anything. You are whole and complete as you are. You have what you need and I am here simply to provide a supportive and assistive space for you to find it. That doesn't mean we don't experience inner discord, or dissonance between where we are and where we want to be. It means we meet ourselves where we're at, and go from there.
- My roles are first and foremost a facilitator and a tutor. I will facilitate spaces for support in learning and practicing tools from the Resilience Toolkit and/or Dance from the Heart. This is not intended as a coaching space, by which I mean that I will not be 'pushing' or challenging you to increase/expand your goals or motivations around implementing these skills.
- I will center practicing with comfort, support, and ease. While I have no expectations that everything will be comfortable or easy, as much as possible we will avoid pushing through discomfort within our learning processes.
- I help prepare the space, you set the pace. While I will invite reflection and offer resources around doing such, you will set and adjust your own goals around implementation of these tools in your life beyond our sessions together.
- I am not a therapist, and our work together is not a replacement of or equivalent to therapy, treatment of mental health conditions, triaging active crisis, processing trauma, or treatment of medical conditions.
